Blue Planet Makes Gear Donation For Local Celebrity Flood Benefit
May 26, 2011 - Branson, Missouri
In late April heavy rainstorms hit the Branson and Hollister area causing severe flooding and damage. In response, a fundraiser and silent auction to benefit all those affected was put together by local Branson Entertainer, Dino Kartsonakis, his family and Christian Associates. Blue Planet Lighting was called on to help and provided lighting gear at no charge for the event.
More than 400 people gathered at the Branson Convention Center for the Branson Celebrity Flood Relief Benefit. The night featured a silent auction, fine dining and live entertainment by Branson entertainers as well as guest acts like horn-driven pop band Denver & the Mile High Orchestra and Dean Martin’s daughter, Deana.
Close to 100 victims of the flood also were able to enjoy the festivities, free of charge, as special guests. In total, more than $75,000 was raised from ticket sales and the silent auction.
Donations, which are being handled by Christian Associates, can be made by texting “bransonflood” to 90210. More information can be found online at bransonflood.com.
