Here is what I have, here is what I want to do...

  Hello,
So I am real new to stage lighting design. I am in a band and would like to pre set a stage show to go along with out songs. I plan on using a click track for my drummer to keep the correct time to correspond with the programmed function of the lights.
Here is what I have to work with for now:
Chauvet Stage Designer TFX-24c (not sure at all how to use this)
6 Par can lights (Im about to buy a dimmer pack)
2 ADJ Mystic Led lights
2 ADJ galaxian Sky lasers.

So What I would ideally want is to have a computer program (which one would best suite me?), and be able to have a 3d model of a mock stage with my lights and program specific effects in a timeline. I am going to purchase a laptop computer to work the program on.
I am not sure if and how I would do this.
Will the Chauvet work for this? Do I need to get some other sort of interface?
What program do I use?

The chauvet has its own record function, but I dont understand it. I am pretty tech savvy. I have plugged the mystic and the laser into it and understand the function of the sliders and channels, but the chauvet only has 1 dmx out... and wont control the other lights in slave mode.

Can someone tell me what I need for a complete set up? I need help and knowledge! Thanks!
